What is a "project" on Havnwright?
A project is the container for everything related to one piece of work: budget, quotes, photos, snags, documents and warranties.
A project on Havnwright is the single home for everything related to one piece of work: a kitchen, a loft, or a full house refurb. It groups together:
- The original budget estimate (from the calculator or one you set manually)
- Quotes you have received from contractors
- Photos documenting progress before / during / after
- Snags (defects to be fixed)
- Documents like plans, contracts, certificates
- Warranties for installed items
- Receipts and expenses
- The project's current phase (Dream → Plan → Budget → Quotes → Build → Complete)
Why we use projects
Without a project, your renovation data lives in your inbox, on your phone camera roll, and in random notes apps. With a project, every piece of paperwork is tied to the same thing and you can find it later, both during the build and at the end when you want a record.
How to create one
- From the dashboard calculator, click "Create project from this estimate".
- Or directly: Dashboard → Projects → New Project.
