I can't log in

The most common login problems and what to try first when your email and password are not getting you in.

If you cannot log in, work through these in order. One of them is almost always the cause.

1. Have you confirmed your email?

When you first sign up we send a confirmation email. Until you click the link in that email, your account cannot sign in. Search your inbox for "Confirm your Havnwright account" (also check Spam / Promotions / Junk).

2. Is your email address typed correctly?

When signing up we now warn about likely typos (gmial.com, hotnail.com, etc.). If you registered with a typo, the confirmation email went to an address you can't read. Sign up again with the correct address.

3. Try the password reset

Even if you "know" your password, a reset is the fastest way to rule it out. Click Forgot password? on the login page and follow the link in the email.

4. Right account type?

Havnwright has two kinds of accounts: homeowner and contractor. They sign in at the same page but live in different parts of the app. If you registered as a contractor, the homeowner dashboard will not let you in (and vice versa). Try the other type if you think this might be the case.

5. Still stuck

If none of the above works, email support@havnwright.com with the email address you used to register. Do not include your password.
